Back in October 2004, a small group of old Holden lovers organised an informal get together at Lake Cathie.  An ad was placed in the local paper and flyers handed out to various outlets in the area, inviting all old Holden owners to bring their car and family along – with the intention of forming an old Holden club.  The response was overwhelming. Old Holdens of all shapes and sizes attended, ranging from original to modified, and all were made to feel welcome.  By the end of the gathering, a committee was elected and the Hastings Old Holdens Car Club was formed.

On the third Sunday of every month, the club meets at around 9am at the Port Marina. From there, club members get to enjoy driving their pride and joy to various parts of the beautiful coastal and hinterlands areas on the Mid North Coast.  We also attend other car club ‘show n shine’ events, from Sydney to the Gold Coast.  A range of fundraising activities have been organised by the club, providing much needed funding for the local SES, Starlight Children’s Foundation, and numerous Mid North Coast schools and clubs.
